Screaming Corellas is inspired by The Scream by Munch because three years after the trauma of the bushfires and the isolation of the Covid pandemic, that's what I feel like, screaming, as many people in my NSW South Coast community are dying, rather than recovering, and there seem's to be little help available. During the bushfires the Corellas flew round and round day and night screaming, seemingly unable to find a safe place to land, and this the moment in the mid morning, evacuated to the beach, when the smoke and ash lifted enough to allow some daylight. Up until then it was frighteningly pitch black like the dead of night. Since then life's been tough for a lot of people; too tough for some.
